Crime In Tetonia: A Documentary Film

Nestled beneath the magnificent Teton mountain range lies a tiny town of 270 inhabitants, Tetonia. My documentary will focus on specifically the regularly posted police reports released from the small town that are as innocent and funny as you might imagine happening in a small town in Idaho. Some of these reports may include, but will not be limited to;

— 12/19: Callers reported a female moose hanging out 50 yards from the highway in Tetonia. People were trying to make it move. The deputy performed traffic control until it left the area. [It’s hard to move a female moose who is “hanging out.”]

— 12/20: A deputy observed a moose near the bridge south of Driggs. He performed traffic control. [He’s a talented moose to be able to perform traffic control!]

— 12/20: A car was pulled over in Driggs because it was decorated in Christmas lights. This is a violation of state statute. The driver was given a warning. [Was it Santa Claus?]

— 12/21: Two vehicles hit one moose in Tetonia. The drivers sustained minor injuries and the road was temporarily blocked. The moose is probably dead. A report was taken. [Probably dead??]

— 12/22: Someone called 911 to ask when the Teton Pass would reopen. The caller was informed of several better ways to learn this information.

Making the Plan to Produce This Film

The available visuals that will be taking place in this documentary are filming at the police station to gain interviews as well as a few homes of local residents for their respective interviews. Filming the Teton Mountains themselves as well will be important and getting epic shots of the town in the snow during this season of the year will also be required.

This documentary will end up on Youtube, Facebook, and, if at all possible, premiere on Upper Valley News as well as have a theater premiere sometime in April 2017.

In order to make the documentary, I will need help with getting shots around Tetonia as well as extra hand to acquire audio from interviews and just getting natural sound from the various areas I will film. Working with a drone operator will also be needed.
